Frequently asked questions
Do I need an appointment?
Yes! We are open by appointment only, therefore our staff is scheduled to provide personal service to you! Your appointment will take place in one of our beautiful private dressing suites.
How many people can I bring with me?
We allow 4 guests, the bride plus 4. At times we will allow for an extra person, but over the years we have found the less people at the appointment, the more enjoyable it is for our brides and we are here for you, our brides! Only bring your closest family/friends who have your best interest at heart. You are welcome to book a follow up appointment to show other guests, but our recommendation is to have your favourite gowns already narrowed down before doing so.
How long are appointments?
Appointments are 90 minutes long, this allows for plenty of time to try on different styles and silhouettes, and find the one!
What should I wear/bring to my appointment?
Wear nude undergarments to your bridal appointment. Make sure you and your guests have socks or bring slippers as you will be required to removed outdoor footwear. Also, bring photos of gowns that you love, but also be open to trying on different styles.
When should I start shopping for my gown? How long does it take to order a gown?
We always recommend shopping about a year before your wedding date. Some gowns can take up to 8 months to arrive. Shopping a year before allows plenty of time for the gown to arrive, and for alterations to be completed.
If you don’t have this timeline, we still have quicker options as some of our designers offer a “rush” which is the option to expedite your gown at an additional fee. Some of our designers carry stock, and we also have a great selection of sample gowns that are available for purchase right off of our rack.
Our best advice is when you find the dress of your dreams, just purchase it! We have gowns that discontinue all the time and we would not want you to be disappointed if your dream gown is discontinued. Also, prices do tend to increase at certain intervals, so if you found the perfect gown then why not purchase it!
What is a trunk show?
A trunk show is when a designer sends their whole collection to our store for a period of time. This is a great opportunity to try on gowns that we wouldn’t normally have as we tend to purchase gowns from the collection that we think our brides would love the most.
Do you offer payment plans?
Yes, we can be flexible with payment plans if timing allows. One thing to remember if we must have a 60% deposit to order any gown, and the remaining balance can be paid via instalments until your gown arrives. If you are purchasing your gown well in advance of your wedding date, then you may have the option to pay your deposit in instalments.
We will work with you, your budget and timeline to ensure we come up with a plan the best fits!
What is your return Policy?
Since all of our gowns are special order, we have a strict NO REFUND policy.
